Membership Criteria

The criteria for membership of The Everest Network are as follows:

Criteria Checklist

  1. 01A potential member should be a community-based organization, a local, implementing organization. A local implementing organization means that the organization resides and operates in the same location. For example, an organization that has its office in Chitwan where it implements or works and its staff are mainly locally recruited is considered a local and implementing CBO.

  2. 02An organization that has its main office in Kathmandu with local branches in other areas cannot join the network. However, if local branches have self-autonomy, then the local branch can apply for membership.

  3. 03Educational institutions which support or capacity strengthen local organizations can also apply for membership.

  4. 04Members will be asked to sign a declaration of code of conduct. The code of conduct refers to sexual misconduct, corruption, terrorism, and child safeguarding.
