The Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) Nepal, works for human capacity building through training, facilitation, and community development. Since its inception in 1998, ICA Nepal has been playing a significant role in the country to achieve remarkable improvements in terms of people’s participation, equality, and leadership and improving lives. ICA will continue this role in the future and expects to make a big impact by transforming societies. We have trained and facilitated thousands, and implemented successful human development projects in Changunarayan, Parbat, Far Western regions etc. ICA Nepal follows the sustainable village-based development model and applies Technology of Participation (ToP) approaches in need assessment, planning, implementation of any programs and projects. During the turmoil of conflict and violence, ICA Nepal played a remarkable role in making the social transformation working with local leaders, NGOs, and community. ICA worked in changing attitudes of warring factions and enhancing public participation for the revival of democracy.
We have worked with local women groups, clubs, schools, rural and urban municipalities. ICA Nepal major working and focus areas are capacity building, skill development, community development, advocacy, education, empowerment of women, children and persons with disabilities. ICA Nepal supports a number of local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in project development, fundraising and implementation through its NGO support program.
